ilTuoAvvocato.com is a legal-tech platform registered as an Innovative Startup, born out of hands-on experience in the legal profession. It offers fixed-price legal services, legal opinions, contracts, formal notices, appeals, and ongoing assistance, delivered entirely remotely by licensed lawyers.
Clients choose a service, pay online, and follow their case from a personal dashboard, where they receive documents already digitally signed. For businesses, ilTuoAvvocato.com also offers a subscription model, "Team Legale," covering recurring out-of-court activities: contracts, privacy, compliance, and operational assistance. The company's goal is to go beyond simply moving a traditional law firm online, and instead build a true digital ecosystem for accessing and managing legal services.
The challenge: eliminating the last non-digital steps of the legal process
ilTuoAvvocato.com's model only works if the process is digital from start to finish. Before integrating with Openapi, two steps broke this flow: the company registry extract (visura camerale) had to be requested manually on another portal and then re-uploaded to the platform, while signing documents required a physical device and external software, with the document leaving the platform and later returning signed.
ilTuoAvvocato.com was looking for a provider able to expose both services via simple, pay-per-use REST APIs, with no enterprise contracts or minimum volumes — and, crucially, fully compliant with the eIDAS framework and the Italian Digital Administration Code (CAD), an essential requirement for documents that need legal value and must hold up in court. Specifically, a qualified signature certificate was needed, compliant with the technical specifications of Italy's certified electronic filing system (processo telematico), in the CAdES and PAdES formats accepted by court systems, so that deeds and powers of attorney signed through the platform could be filed directly, with no need to re-sign them.
On top of this was a B2B onboarding requirement: when a company subscribed to "Team Legale," ilTuoAvvocato.com wanted to automatically verify that the client company existed, was active, and that the person signing actually had the authority to do so.
The Openapi APIs used
To build a truly end-to-end flow, ilTuoAvvocato.com integrated two Openapi.it services, in production since 2026:
- Qualified Digital Signature: to sign documents produced on the platform via API — legal opinions, contracts, letters, deeds — in the CAdES and PAdES formats required by the certified electronic filing process.
- Company Registry Report: to automatically retrieve official data on the companies involved in a case — clients, counterparties, and businesses subscribing to the plans — feeding document drafting with company name, registered address, VAT number, and legal representative.
Both calls originate from the platform's backend and are tied to the case lifecycle or to the client's request, with no manual action required from the operator. Additionally, these two services aren't reserved for the lawyers in the network alone: they're also available to clients who request them independently — for example, a business that needs a registry report on a counterparty, or the digital signature of a contract, without opening a legal case. The digital signature is also used by clients themselves to remotely sign the power of attorney and any deeds requiring their signature, eliminating the last paper-based step in the relationship with the lawyer.
The solution: a flow that never leaves the platform
Thanks to the integration, the document is created, signed, and delivered to the client's dashboard without ever leaving the platform. The steps of downloading, signing externally, renaming, and re-uploading the file are gone — along with the typical errors tied to them: wrong version, unsigned file, missing attachment.
On the registry side, company data is available as soon as a case is opened, in structured format, and feeds directly into document drafting. From a technical standpoint, the integration was fast, supported by clear documentation and a pay-as-you-go pricing model that let ilTuoAvvocato.com get started with no upfront investment.

Operational benefits
The result is a simpler working environment for both the professional and the client, and a service that's easier to standardize and scale across a network of lawyers working with the same tools and the same standards.
The API integration also lets ilTuoAvvocato.com envision new services without having to change the platform's overall logic, minimizing lawyers' non-billable time: every minute no longer spent downloading a registry report or signing with a smart card is time given back to actual legal work.
The results achieved
The time needed to take a case from assignment to delivery of the signed deed has dropped dramatically: activities that once required manual steps across multiple tools now happen automatically within the platform. Beyond the time savings, the most important outcome is the elimination of several points of discontinuity typical of managing a legal case digitally, resulting in a more standardized, repeatable process.
The experience has been positive enough that ilTuoAvvocato.com is now considering extending the integration to other services in the Openapi catalog — certified email (PEC), timestamping, client identity verification, land and mortgage registry reports, digital revenue stamps, compliant document storage, and company lookup — to cover the entire lifecycle of a case. The goal is to progressively integrate these tools with professional consulting, guiding the client from their initial need all the way to the solution, within a single digital experience.
