Throughout 2025, Openapi further strengthened its position as a leading player in the API market, recording significant growth in its customer base both in Italy and internationally. This result not only confirms the validity of the business model, but also highlights the increasing demand for scalable and integrated data-driven solutions.

With 2025 data and Q1 2026 figures, we have confirmed results above expectations, even within a strategy focused on investments and pricing aimed at growth and entering new markets.

FCF is intentionally reduced due to investment policies for entering international markets and a low-price strategy to expand the user base.

The company therefore positions itself with a combined Growth Rate + FCF index of 69.4%.

A continuously expanding customer base

By the end of 2025, Openapi surpassed the milestone of 125,000 total recurring customers. This achievement reflects the company’s ability to meet a wide range of needs: from SMEs undergoing digital transformation to large organizations (Enterprise), as well as developers and system integrators.

Growth is not only quantitative but also qualitative: the integration of Openapi APIs into clients’ core processes increases their strategic reliance on our services, creating a natural lock-in effect that ensures stability and continuity over time.

Average revenue per customer is increasing, rising from €39.4 per customer to €55.2 per customer. This growth is mainly driven by the onboarding of some high-volume clients, significantly diluted by the large number of new small-sized customers approaching our services. However, no single customer accounts for more than 2% of total revenue.

Strong growth in the Italian market

The domestic market continues to be a key pillar. In 2025, over 42,000 new Italian companies chose Openapi to access data and services via APIs.

This figure confirms three structural trends:

  • the acceleration of the digital transformation of the Italian business ecosystem

  • once adopted, API infrastructure becomes a structural component of the client’s IT architecture.
