Certified Email Domain Check

Certified Email Domain Check is the service that lets you know in real time whether an email address is a certified email address and, based on this information, choose the right way to communicate with the recipient.

There are over 14 million active Registered Electronic Mail (REM) addresses in Italy and it is not always easy to identify which are traditional and which are certified.

With Openapi, on the other hand, it is possible to have certain and immediate feedback; the service not only verifies whether an email address includes the domain of one of the REM providers (e.g. @legalmail.com or @pec.it), but also whether it is associated with one of the more than 250.000 certified domains.

To use the service, the domain must be passed as a parameter, e.g. domiciliodigitale.com o gmail.com.

Request Domain Verification

This is an example of a request for the domain domiciliodigitale.com, where the domain name is passed as a parameter.

Response Domain Verification

The response will indicate in real time whether that address is certified (found!) or not.

In this case, the domain domiciliodigitale.com was recognised as certified.

Certified Email Domain Check is integrated into e-commerce or platforms in order to identify in real time the type of address being used during registration or purchase and to send the confirmation message, certified or not, that will surely be received. This is why Certified Email Domain Check is often used in conjunction with the Certified Message Massive Delivery API Service, that enables thousands of certified messages per day to be sent automatically and in real time.
