Italian Digital Identity (SPID)

SPID (Public Digital Identity System) is the fundamental and mandatory tool for accessing online services of the Public Administration (e.g. INPS-National Social Insurance Agency and the Revenue Agency).

Thanks to SPID, with a single Digital Identity, it is possible to check your INPS status, consult your Health Record, and access services from individual Municipalities or Regions. Additionally, SPID is essential for requesting Government Bonuses or using the IO app.

Openapi allows you to directly integrate the online SPID request and activation service with Video Recognition included into your platform.

Through a single API request it is possible to obtain the url, that lasts 1 year, and then proceed with video recognition and SPID activation.

The API call provides the URL, which is valid for 1 year, to proceed with Video Recognition and SPID activation.

The activation time for the digital identity is usually a few minutes.

Currently, SPID Personal (1st and 2nd level with OTP) is available via API.

SPID Personal has a duration of 2 years, after which it is tacitly and systematically renewed year by year.
